NEPL 2012 Event 1 Results

The Spartans are back from Boston…words can barely describe the event. The atmosphere was great, the event ran well and the competition was fierce. For many of us, it was our first 7man experience on a 7man layout. For our 5man squad, most was their first paintball event.

Though Ive played many local events within Canada, to compare these with the NEPL one cannot argue that the field was cleaner, that the bunkers were better or that the sun was brighter because it wasnt. The turf was old and the field was worn, but these things didnt matter. These guys play paintball, alot, and this wear and tear made things more real. They don’t just smack talk to their friends about how they play, they compete to prove to them that they can. Calls from the referees were consistent, the event organization was what to be expected of a feeder league to the NPPL, as was the venu which was prepared for a weekend of paintball including Dye Paintball representative Pete Montero, who was there to offer support if any of our gear needed service.

In summary, a great weekend of paintball. Looking forward to an even better event in June 2nd and 3rd.
